Azhar organizes new series of free marriage prep courses to young couples – Egypt Today

CAIRO – 16 June 2022: A new series of free marriage prep courses to young couples is organized by the Al-Azhar Global Center for Electronic Fatwa in a bid to raise awareness on different marital-related issues. This is a continuation to the program titled “Family and Community Awareness Program” that was announced in October 2018 by the Al-Azhar Institute, in coordination with different institutions and clubs. There was a slight surge in divorce rates in December 2021, recording 20.7 thousand cases, compared to 19.1 thousand cases in December 2020. On May 12, 2022, the program announced the opening of a new series of training courses for those who are about to marry of both sexes at its headquarters in the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, through its family and community awareness program. Those who are interested to join the program can register through the Al-Azhar electronic portal or by calling the institute’s hotline: 19906. These free courses aim to qualify and train those who are about to get married in different governorates across the country. Among the topics addressed in the program are: raising awareness of how to choose a life partner; learning about the foundations of a happy married life
