CAIRO – 4 February 2021: Abu Simbel Temples launched a number of virtual tours that enable visitors to visit the temples, and listen to historic stories about each place, in a bid to meet many people's eager to listen more to Egyptian historic stories while abide by COVID-19 precautionary measures.

The initiative was first implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Education, where 170 high school students attended the virtual tours from their homes in Dakahlia, Damietta and Qalyoubia governorates.

The virtual tour initiative is the first of its kind, and is totally implemented online through “Teams” online platform, according to Dr. Abdel Moneim Saeed, the Director General of Aswan and Nubia Antiquities.

The students participated in a virtual tour inside Abu Simbel temples in south Aswan, which was guided by Ahmed Masoub Hassan, the supervisor of the Nubian Antiquities Rescue Fund
