QU hosts 9th forum for deans of CBEs at GCC universities – The Peninsula

Doha: The College of Business and Economics (CBE) at Qatar University virtually hosted the 9th Forum of the Deans of Colleges of Business of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) under the theme “Partnership for Prosperity”.

Dr. Hassan Al Derham, President of Qatar University, welcomed the participants and added that Qatar University is keen to develop academic programmes, encourage and support scientific research, as well as provide various services that contribute to the development and economy of society. He stated that QU has developed a five-year strategy 2018-2022, which consists of seven policies.

Dr. Al Derham said that the university has developed a plan and implementation programmes to achieve the goals and objectives included in these strategies.

“The results of these strategies were reflected in the university’s rankings in research locally and internationally. Eighty researchers from Qatar University were included in the most cited researchers worldwide. Currently the university is working to develop many student services and offer various academic programmes to meet the job market needs as we aim to actively contribute to the achievement of human and social development as well as economic development in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.”

In his speech on the occasion, Dr. Adam Fadlalla, Acting Dean
