Change in school hours during Ramadan includes private, public schools: MoE – Roya News English

The new decision issued by the Ministry of Education regarding the change made to school hours during Ramadan includes public and private schools across Jordan, but excludes those with international programs, according to Wajih Owais, the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research.

It was announced earlier Monday that school hours were amended and the daily schedule in schools will begin at 9:00 am instead of Sunday's decision which stated schools will start at 8:00 am during Ramadan.

The ministry said in its statement issued on Monday, that the amendment comes in light of feedback from parents in regards to the school hours during the blessed month of Ramadan, considering the difference in timings for the start of schools and start of work for public sector employees.
