University of Jordan releases new details on case of dismissed student – Roya News English

The Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Jordan, Dr. Muhammad Al-Qatatsheh, confirmed Thursday that he has made a final and non-appealable decision in the case of studen Yara Al-Damisi, who was expelled from the university due to a Facebook post in which she spoke about her injury during a lecture to the Faculty of Physical Education for the course "Swimming 2."

In a statement to Roya, Al-Qatatsheh said that the case was not initiated by the university on its own, but by a faculty member at the university.

He further indicated that the student did not file any complaint with the Deanship of the College or the Deanship of Student Affairs about what happened to her, but went to Facebook to publish her complaint.
