Ministry to terminate 1,815 teachers – ARAB TIMES – KUWAIT NEWS – Arab Times Kuwait News

KUWAIT CITY, March 16: The official spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Ahmed Al- Wahida, announced the termination of the services of 1,815 male and female teachers, and 209 expatriate heads of departments at the end of the current academic year, reports Al-Qabas daily. Al-Wahida explained that this decision comes in line with the government’s direction and the state’s plan to implement the policy of replacing expatriates with Kuwaitis in accordance with the Kuwaiti constitution, which stipulates in Article 26 that the citizen has the right to public office, and based on Civil Service Council Resolution No. 11 of 2017 regarding the rules and procedures of “Kuwaitization” of government jobs.
