The Ukrainian Government Will Allocate 100 Grants To Lebanese Students

The Ukrainian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ihor Ostash, met with the Caretaker Minister of Education, Abbas Al Halabi, to reflect on the recent events in Ukraine, especially in areas where the vast majority of Lebanese students were studying before the war began.

During the meeting on Wednesday, Minister Halabi briefed on the proposal of Ukrainian higher education institutions to switch to online education for Lebanese students and to establish a Ukrainian campus in Lebanon.

The Ukrainian Ambassador also informed Al Halabi of the allocation of 100 grants from the Ukrainian government to Lebanese students.

In this regard, it was agreed to amend the text of the agreement between the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science and the Lebanese Ministry of Education regarding cooperation in the field of higher education.
