Archaeologists showcase excavations made at Oman’s Bisiya site

Dr. Matilda Habben and Dr. Martin from French Sorbonne University delivered a lecture showcasing the outcomes of their archaeological surveys at the Bisiya archaeological site in Bahla.

The post Archaeologists showcase excavations made at Oman’s Bisiya site appeared first on The Arabian Stories News.Muscat – As a part of the lecture, the experts reviewed significant findings unearthed during their missions, focusing on the documentation of structures and burial sites scattered across the area, especially at Al Dhabi 2 site, which contains several imposing towers dating back to the Early Bronze Age.

Prominent among the discoveries were charred palm kernels and various plant seeds, shedding light on ancient agricultural practices. They also noted that excavations within one of the towers revealed evidence of burning pits and a number of stones arranged flatly.The excavations also unearthed several items of pottery, including artifacts originating from the Indus region.
