Four guards appointed for each school: Minister| Times of Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Education has appointed four guards in each school, as per the court orders, the country's said. "The Ministry has implemented the court order, and four guards are now being appointed in each school, and the current recruitment policy is to appoint a daily wage. The ministry is proceeding to compensate them with regard to their financial allocations," Her Excellency Dr Madiha bint Ahmed bin Nasser Al Shibaniyah said. Speaking about the education embezzlement case the Minister said: "Embezzlement is a major national crime, and the court has issued tough penalties with a ruling to recover the embezzled funds. The coordination is established between the Public Prosecution and the Ministry of Finance to recover these funds." Regarding contracting with transport companies, the Minister said :" Some buses lack security and safety specifications. Her Excellency confirms that the transport companies receive a higher amount, but at a small cost, compared to the distances traveled and the safety and security specifications. We sought to amend the contracts with bus owners for their benefit."
