Indian Schools in Oman allot seats to new applicants

Muscat: A whopping 3543 applicants have been allotted seats in the seven Indian Schools in Muscat at the computer generated draw held on 3rd March 2024 at Indian Schools Muscat. The proceedings have been presided over by Dr. Sivakumar Manickam, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman.

Mr. Shameer PTK, Vice Chairman, Mr. Vijay Saravanan and Mr. Ambalavanan, Members on the Board, Mr. Vinoba M.P., Senior Principal and Education Advisor were present at the draw which was attended by the Principals of the Indian Schools in the capital area.

“The centralized admission system with online registration introduced by the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman has facilitated the entire admission process, making it convenient for parents and schools to take care of rush for admissions” said Dr. Sivakumar Manickam, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman.

Number of new applications received for each class is as follows: KG1 (1402), KG2 (458), Class 1 (594), Class 2 (191), Class 3 (192), Class 4 (152), Class 5 (135), Class 6 (126), Class 7 (98), Class 8 (103) and Class 9 (92). On an average about 72% of applicants got the first choice of school which they had opted.
