Oman denies social media rumours that new academic year will be postponed

Oman's Ministry of Education (MOE) has categorically denied rumours that are being circulated on social media about the possibility of postponing the school academic year for 2020-21.

The ministry's statement comes following social media reports that the school year will be postponed until the beginning of next year.

Earlier, the ministry of education said that all private and public schools will open on November 1.
