The Shura Council held its seventh regular meeting for the first annual session of the tenth term (2023-2027), to discuss its final amendments to the draft media law, and focus on topics related to educational affairs, among a host of other topics

Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Secretary-General of the Council.The meeting discussed challenges related to school transportation, plans to privatize the school bus sector in Oman, standards and procedures followed by the Education Ministry in the internal and external movement of teachers, and the importance of referring guards in government schools.The meeting also discussed the problem of evening schools, addressing the paucity of school buildings, partnership with the private sector in building new schools, and the Ministry’s requirements related to their construction.In addition, the Council examined various briefing requests submitted to several ministers, including:
