Symposium on educational specialisations kicks off

Muscat: Symposium on educational specialisations outcomes and strategic implications for education and quality of outcomes kicked off on Monday under the auspices of Dr. Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education in the presence of Dr. Mahad bin Said Baowain, Minister of Labour.The symposium targets 300 participants from the education sector and emphasises the importance of improving the school educational system in the Sultanate of Oman by improving its inputs and preparing qualified generations and competent national capabilities in all aspects of development.The implementation of the symposium comes within the framework of measures that the relevant authorities have sought to establish, with the tendency to continue accepting the outcomes of educational specialisations at the bachelor’s level or its equivalent and the educational qualification diploma programme in governmental and private universities and colleges inside and outside the recognized Sultanate of Oman, in addition to opening the scope for public and private higher education institutions.Dr. Sulaiman al Jamoudi, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision delivered the Ministry of Education speech, in which he said: “The symposium emphasises the importance of improving the school educational system in the Sultanate of Oman, by improving its inputs of teachers to prepare qualified generations.”
