1. Ministry of Education issues circular regarding rainfall in Muscat Governorate

The Ministry of Education in Muscat Governorate noted that students should not leave schools in light of the rainfall before the end of the school day.

"Muscat governorate is witnessing this morning rain that ranged between light and medium in some of its wilayats, and some school administrations are communicating with us with the aim of removing students for fear of the severity of the rain, and where the safety of students in such circumstances requires them to stay in school until the climatic condition stabilises and coordination with the competent authorities. Accordingly, please kindly do not remove the students from the school before the end of the school day," the Ministry said in a circular.

2. Psychotropic drugs and 14 kg of khat seized in Oman

Oman Customs has seized more than 14 kilograms of khat and a quantity of psychotropic drugs found from two travellers.
