CIFAL Doha UN training center opens at Lusail University – The Peninsula

To build the capacity of government officials and civil society leaders and for empowering them to advance sustainable development, an international training center,‘CIFAL Doha’, opened yesterday.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center (ROLACC) H E Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri and Head of the CIFAL Global Network Alex Mejia officially inaugurated CIFAL Doha in a ceremony held at the premises of Lusail University.

CIFAL Doha is joining as the 23rd center in the CIFAL Global Network, whose mission is to strengthen the capacity of government officials and civil society leaders, empowering them to advance sustainable development.

CIFAL Doha will represent the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and will contribute to the advancement of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. The center will also specialise in anticorruption and Sustainable Development.

Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri and Alex Mejia signed an agreement for inaugurating the CIFAL Doha Center. Mejia presented Dr. Al Marri with a United Nations flag to commemorate this event. The flag was hosted in front of the CIFAL Doha Center.
