CNA-Q signs pact with Ashghal to develop educational and vocational initiatives

The College of the North Atlantic –Qatar (CNA-Q) has signed an MoU with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).

The signing ceremony at CNA-Q was attended by president Dr Salem Al-Naemi, Ashghal's shared services affairs director Meshaal Sultan al-Hitmi and different stakeholders.

The agreement sets a framework for co-operation and ongoing projects between both entities. This includes collaboration opportunities in joint conferences, workshops, forums, publications, educational materials and other initiatives. The signing parties agreed on developing outreach activities on areas of common interests and promoting educational and vocational projects.

The partnership provides CNA-Q students with internship and work placement opportunities in Ashghal. It also explores research opportunities and offers Ashghal a membership in relevant CNA-Q’s Programme Advisory Committees to propose new insights and advice.

Dr Al-Naemi said: “As an applied College, we constantly look for opportunities that will benefit our students and hone their skills. We are delighted to expand our involvement with Public Works Authority. This strategic partnership will give our students a chance to experience real-world problem solving and present their findings in their capstone projects. Our collaboration will foster mutual knowledge sharing and represents a great milestone in our journey towards achieving Qatar National Vision 2030 goals.”
