Qatar University honours winners of 15th Scientific Excellence Award – The Peninsula

Doha: Qatar University (QU) recently honoured nine distinguished students who won this year’s Scientific Excellence Award. The students bagged one platinum medal and eight gold medals.

The winners include Hind Nasser Al Nuaimi (pharmacy), Faisal Ali Al Hanzab (international affairs), Al Dana Ali Al Yafei (chemical engineering), Kholoud Muhammad Al Marri (public health), Ohoud Nasser Al Jabri (accounting), Abdullah Muhammad Al Kuwari (policy, planning and development), Latifa Abdullah Al Kuwari, and Iman Adel Al Ishaq, (law) and Ghanim Muhammad Abu Jassoum (mechanical engineering).

Dr. Hassan Al Derham, President of QU, said: “The distinction you have achieved deserves all appreciation and praise from us. Your efforts are remarkable and are celebrated by the entire nation, starting from H H the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, your family and society.”

Dr. Al Derham siad QU, the first national university, will support the students with unlimited facilities.

“The library and laboratories are always open for you. I hope your goal is to serve your homeland and make us proud throughout your journey,” he added.
