Qatar University Young Scientists Center launches second cycle of science program – The Peninsula

Doha: The Qatar University Young Scientists Center (QUYSC), in cooperation with the Department of Research Support (Grants and Contracts), launched the second cycle of the National Science Promotion Program (NSPP).

The program aims to provide high school students with the opportunity to explore the world of research and strengthen their skills in it, in addition to supporting and empowering young people in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and preparing them for the future as highly qualified human forces in these fields.

During the program, students learn the basics of scientific research through intensive practical training in research laboratories in order to understand the importance of research, develop their research interests, and work in the field of research.

The Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, Mariam Al-Ali Al-Maadeed, said that the Research and Graduate Studies sector encourages the involvement of an integrated system of research scientists, graduate students, university students, as well as school students in practical research activities, as in the NSPP, which will enhance students' outlook for the future and will open new horizons in the fields of research.
