QU College of Sharia and Islamic studies enrols 835 students – The Peninsula

Doha: The 2022 spring semester at the College of Sharia and Islamic studies at Qatar University has registered 835 students (780 female and 55 male), according to the College Dean, Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Al Ansari.

The students have enrolled in the four departments: Fiqh and its Fundamentals, Creed and Propagation, Quran and Sunnah, and Islamic Studies. As for the doctorate programme only two students are enrolled, whereas four students have been registered in one approved programme so far in the college at the doctoral stage, which is the jurisprudence and its foundations programme.

The college is known regionally and globally for its leadership and excellence in Sharia education, Islamic studies, scientific research, and community service. it boasts an authentic middle approach, and a reliable reference that consolidates the Arab-Islamic identity, advances Islam, and promotes coexistence and dialogue.
