QU college to host supply chain, logistics services symposium

Qatar University's (QU) College of Business and Economics (CBE) will hold the first symposium in the country on supply chains and logistics services on December 3 and 4 at Hilton Doha.The event is being organised by QU's Center for Entrepreneurship and Organisational Excellence (CEOE) in collaboration with the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and the Lean Construction Institute of Qatar.The aim is to address the urgent need for flexible and effective supply chains across industries in order to address the growing disruptions, a statement said Friday.A diverse panel of speakers, including industry experts, decision-makers, and researchers will share insights on various topics, from developing flexible supply chain systems and practices to encompassing effective supply chain management, logistics operations, and best practices, coping with disruptions, risk mitigation, speed, flexibility, and response strategies.The symposium will be open to all interested parties, including government officials, businessmen, supply chain and logistics specialists, as well as scholars, researchers, and students.CBE dean Prof Rana Sobh, said: “This event is instrumental in helping bridge the gap between research and practice in the logistics and supply chain management fields.
