QU signs MoU with Seashore Group – The Peninsula

Doha: Qatar University (QU) and the Seashore Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which aims at strengthening cooperation of mutual interest to serve the educational process and support QU students to achieve integration between institutions of higher education and the private sector.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Hassan Al Derham, President of Qatar University, and Salem Bin Saeed Al-Muhannadi, CEO of Seashore Group, at a ceremony held at QU and attended by officials from both parties.

The agreement aims at developing a framework for cooperation between QU and the Seashore Group, including increasing mutual cooperation opportunities in training, organisation of workshops, conferences, and other bilateral initiatives. In his speech on the occasion, Dr. Al Derham said: “We are pleased of the presence of national institutions and businesses in Qatar that contribute to the country’s social and economic development. We appreciate the Group’s support towards Qatar University through this project with the Student Affairs Sector, and we look forward to working with more in the academic, industrial, and economic sectors in the future.”

For his part, Al Muhannadi said: “This agreement affirms its attitude toward community collaboration with educational institutions in the State of Qatar as part of its community efforts.
