Reading Week events were organised at the MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch (MESIS), recently with various activities for students. The main objective was to mark the importance of reading in one's life and inculcate the habit of reading in young minds. A puppet show for students of grade I and II featured a jungle story. The puppeteers were Anu Manoj and Reshmi Girish and the co-ordinators Mohamed Nisar, Arun Kumar and Nousheena Rafeeq. The other activities for students included making book marks, story-telling and donating their old story books to the school library. Principal Dr Mohammed Haneef shared his thoughts on the importance of reading.
