Sharjah schools to offer 100% distance learning until end of second semester

Private and private schools and nurseries in the emirate of Sharjah will continue to offer 100 per cent distance learning as a mode of education until the end of spring semester, local authorities have announced.

The Local Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management team in Sharjah has decided that e-learning will continue across the board for all schools and nurseries in the emirate until the end of the second semester. The decision was made in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Sharjah Private Education Authority.

This directive marks the continuance of an earlier injunction in which students in private schools and nurseries across Sharjah were shifted to commence 100 per cent e-learning from February 14 until February 28, as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of Covid-19.
