1.15m students back to UAE schools on Tuesday for second semester – Gulf Today

Public and private schools will receive students for all cycles on Tuesday, marking the start of the second semester of the current academic year 2023-2024.

As many as 1.15 million male and female students will attend schools, while school administrations announced their full readiness to receive students and teaching, administrative and technical staff.

The duration of study in the semester is 12 weeks (59 school days), according to the approved school calendar for the current academic year, while the period between January 8 and 12 has been set for analysing and issuing the results of the first semester.

The second semester includes a trial test between March 4 and 8, and during the same period, students take the exams for Group B subjects before they take the end-of-second semester exams between 13 and 22 of the same month.

The spring break for teaching and administrative staff is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 1, 2024 and continue until Friday, April 12 and for students on Monday, March 25 until April 12, provided that students and teaching and administrative staff will join schools on April 15 for the third semester.
