Dubai schools receive first-ever Distance Learning Evaluation ratings

Some private schools in Dubai on Thursday said they have received their outcomes under the first-ever Distance Learning Evaluation (DLE), introduced by UAE education authorities to judge the online provision of schools.

It is a joint initiative between Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Ministry of Education, and Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

School leaders told Khaleej Times institutes are being rated as 'Developed', 'Not Developed' and 'Partially Developed'.

They have been evaluated on 13 criteria for areas like teaching, learning, assessment procedures, overall leadership, contingency and resource criteria under the Distance Learning Evaluation (DLE), introduced by UAE education authorities to judge the online provision of schools.
