MoU signed for strategic academic-industry partnership

UAE - The University of Manchester Middle East Centre and Johnson Controls Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Dubai branch have signed an MoU for a strategic talent partnership (STP).

Through this both organisations will endeavour to help identify management development needs and enhance skill sets by tapping into the University’s regional talent pool of students and alumni, who are all working professionals.

The University already works with some of the leading companies and public sector organisations in the region under the STP framework, and as corporate partners.

The University of Manchester’s STP programme provides a framework for collaboration and engagement between business and business education. It helps identify leadership and management skills development areas, and career opportunities for potential candidates among the University’s regional talent pool.

Multiple sectors

The MoU will enable access to the University’s experience and expertise across multiple sectors for Johnson Controls. Under the STP, Johnson Controls’ employees who are eligible will also benefit from fast-track access to the University’s portfolio of part-time master’s programmes, including the flagship Global Part-time MBA, which attracts large numbers of highly qualified working professionals across the region from a range of business sectors.
