The UAEU Board of Trustees holds its fourth meeting of the academic year 2022/2023

Al Ain: The Board of Trustees of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) met today, under the Chairmanship of the University’s Chancellor, H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to H.H. the President of the UAE.

As part of its oversight responsibility for the UAEU’s strategy implementation, the Board noted the UAEU’S 2022 KPI performance and the progress being made my executive management in executing the University’s strategy in support of national political, economic and social objectives.

In connection with the UAEU’s comprehensive action plan to accelerate the advance of the University’s global ranking, the Board received presentations on the current status of research activities and their associated challenges, and the further development of the research strategy as part of the University’s longer term and broader strategic planning.

The Board received and noted an update on the progress being made with implementing the provisions of Cabinet Resolution No.23/10 of 2022 – ‘Implementation Committee for Federal Higher Education Institutions Governance Resolution’.

The Board reviewed the principal actions and priority areas for improvement contained in the Board performance self- evaluation Report and noted the actions being taken to address the Report’s recommendations.
