UAE’s Khalifa University installs flight simulator to enhance aerospace engineering programme

Dr Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Executive Vice-President of Khalifa University, said, “This collaboration with Boeing not only reinforces our shared vision for advancing aviation but also elevates our research capabilities in aerospace engineering.”




The simulator is equipped with the latest commercial aircraft controls and has a built-in editor for aerodynamic geometry and airfoil data, said the University. It offers students a practical understanding of aircraft operation, avionics, flight dynamics, and safety, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.




Kuljit Ghata-Aura, Boeing president in the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa, said, “The flight simulator will offer students hands-on experience, enriching their academic journey and supporting their research projects.”
A 3D-printing composite materials facility and other advanced equipment to enhance students’ educational experience were also installed at the University as part of its partnership with Boeing.
