Bourse in the green ahead of final 2023 session – Egypt Today

Cairo – December 28, 2023: The stock market closed its doors with a positive note ahead of its final session of the year.

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) benchmark index EGX 30 surged by 1.4 percent to end at 2,4691.43 points.

EGX 70 inched upwards by 0.02 percent to 5,462.98 points, with EGX 100 reporting a climb of 0.33 percent to close at 7,854 points.

Thursday’s trading saw 919.19 million shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 5.19 billion.

Market capitalization was recorded at LE 1.594,6 trillion.

Trading on securities reported Egyptian investors as net buyers with LE 34.72 million. Foreign and Arab traders were net sellers with LE 32.32 million and LE 2.40 million, respectively.

The top gains of the session were by Raya Contact Center which climbed by 8.19 percent, El Nasr Clothes & Textiles (Kabo) by 6.99 percent, and Reacap Financial Investments by 6.68 percent.

The largest losses of the session were by Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool which dropped by 5.57 percent, Copper for Commercial Investment & Real Estate Development by 5.01 percent, and Golden Coast Company by 4.95 percent.
