EGX ends Tuesday trading in the red, loses LE 7.5B in market cap. – Egypt Today





The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended mid-week trading in the red, with the market cap. falling by LE 7.5 billion.

Benchmark index EGX 30 declined by 0.96 percent to close at 23,994.54 points.

EGX 70 inched downwards by 0.07 percent to 5,344.07 points, with EGX 100 dropping by 0.34 percent to end the session at 7,665.01 points.

Tuesday trading reported 1.34 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 3.29 billion.

Market capitalization was recorded at LE 1.6563 trillion, compared to Monday’s close of LE 1.6638 trillion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian investors as net sellers with LE 31.82 million. Foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with LE 19.87 million and LE 11.95 million, respectively.
