Egypt to host joint annual meetings of Arab financial entities in new administrative capital – Egypt Today





CAIRO – 13 May 2024: Egypt will host the Joint Annual Meetings of Arab Financial Institutions set to take place in the New Administrative Capital on May 22. The decision reflects Egypt's commitment to supporting the developmental mission of various Arab financial institutions and bodies, as well as its dedication to strengthening joint Arab action and fostering development across Arab nations.

 

Under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the meetings will convene top officials and representatives from key Arab financial institutions. Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, emphasized that Egypt is fully committed to providing the necessary support and facilities to ensure the success of these gatherings, in line with the organization's stature.

 

Al-Mashat further highlighted the significant role played by Arab financial institutions and funds in advancing development efforts. She emphasized the integration between these institutions and international development partners, aiming to enhance financing mechanisms and technical support available to countries across the region.

 

The joint annual meetings will include discussions by bodies such as the Board of Governors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the Board of Shareholders of the Arab Corporation for the Guarantee of Investment and Export Credit, the Board of Governors of the Arab
