Mid-week stock market trading closes in the green, marks market cap at LE 1.77trn – Egypt Today

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday trading on a high, landing in the green zone with an additional LE 18.8 billion to market cap.

Benchmark index EGX 30 was up by 0.97 percent to close at 25,589.99 points.

The stock market’s other main indices, EGX 70 and EGX 100, end today’s trading with a climb of 0.83 percent to close trading at 5,811.87 points and 8,319.28 points, respectively.

Tuesday's trading saw 1.40 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 3.97 billion.

Market capitalization was recorded at LE 1.770,6 trillion, compared to Monday’s LE 1.751,8 trillion.

Trading on securities saw foreign and Egyptian traders as net sellers with LE 86.58 million and LE 75.67 million, respectively. Arab traders were net buyers with LE 162.26 million.
