Sunday bourse trading adds around LE 5B to market cap., closes in the green zone – Egypt Today





Cairo – December 17, 2023: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started the week by closing in the green zone, with benchmark index EGX 30 climbing by 0.28 percent to end the session at 24,792.14 points.

EGX 70 was up by 1.58 percent to 5,450.11 points, while EGX 100 rose by 1.40 percent to end at 7,877.07 points.

Today’s trading saw 1.49 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 2.83 billion.

Market capitalization was recorded at LE 1.682,9 trillion, compared to Thursday’s close of LE 1.673 trillion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian investors as net buyers with LE 48 million. Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with LE 34.34 million and LE 13.66 million, respectively.

The top gains of the session were by El Kahera El Watania Investment which climbed by 19.3 percent, Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool by 14.16 percent, and Egyptian Media Production City by 13.94 percent.

The largest losses of the session were by El Nasr for Manufacturing Agricultural Crops which dropped by 4.12 percent, Nozha International Hospital by 3.06 percent, and the Egyptian Modern Education Systems by 2.89 percent.
