Asia-Pacific stocks set for lower start; China inflation data for August ahead

SINGAPORE — Shares in Asia-Pacific fell in Thursday morning trade following overnight declines on Wall Street. Meanwhile, investors looked ahead to the release of China's August inflation data. The in Japan dipped 0.53% in early trade while the Topix index fell 0.4%. South Korea's declined 0.59%. In Australia, the shed 0.21%.
