‎Most Gulf stock markets start lower

Most of the GCC stock markets started the session today, May 19, on a downward trajectory, in line with global markets.

Global stock markets ended May 18 sessions with significant declines, led by the US, amid concerns of a possible economic recession, with the continued rise in prices and the Federal Reserve's attempts to increase interest rates to curb inflation.

Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All Share Index (TASI), Dubai Financial Market General Index, Kuwait’s Premier Market Index (PR), Qatar’s QE Index, and Bahrain All Share Index retreated in early trade.

On the other side, Abu Dhabi’s FTSE ADX General Index and Oman’s MSX 30 Index (MSX30) rose, as the following table shows:
