KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti engineer Jenan Al-Shehab won gold medal of the 34th edition of the International Exhibition for Invention, Innovation and Technology (ITEX) on Friday.



Al-Shehab took the gold for her invention of (Electromagnetic Cells) at the two-day Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia event that kicked off yesterday.



Al-Shehab is part of the GCC General Secretariat delegation to the exhibition.



Voicing pride and joy over the win, Al-Shehab told KUNA that her invention would help charge electronic devices remotely, lessening dangers of electric faults, while lending an aesthetic ambiance to public and private places.



Al-Shehab was nominated by a specialized team of arbitrators at the Patent Office of the GCC general secretariat to represent Kuwait in ITEX.



This is her eighth participation in international exhibitions, where she had won several gold medals in competitions in such expos, in addition to an officer badge from the European Union and the International Commission for Officers and Supervisors (Science and Innovation) for her electromagnetic cells invention.
