(Update) Mikati chairs meeting on financial crisis reverberations on public sector, meets international pharmaceutical importers’ delegation, Minister Bou Habib

NNA - Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Monday met at the Grand Serail with a delegation of the union of international pharmaceutical importers in Lebanon, chaired by Carole Hassoun.

The meeting was devoted to discussing the mechanism of ensuring the supply of medication, and attended by Minister of Public Health Dr. Firas Abiad.

Premier Mikati also chaired at the Grand Serail a meeting for the committee tasked with studying the repercussions of the current financial crisis on the public sector and utilities.

 

The meeting was attended by Education Minister Abbas Halabi, Justice Minister Henri Khoury, Finance Minister Youssef Khalil, Administrative Development Minister Najla Riachy, Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi, Environment Minister Nasser Yassine, Industry Minister George Bouchkian, Social Affairs Minister Hector Hajjar, Labor Minister Mustafa Bayram, and Transport Minister Ali Hamieh, alongside the Secretary General of the Council of Minister Mahmoud Makkieh, the Head of the Council for Development and Reconstruction Nabil Jisr, and Mikati's Office Head Jamal Krayem.

During the meeting, it was agreed on a series of proposals that will be presented to the Council of Ministers for study and approval.

On the other hand, Mikati met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, and then received former Minister Shakib Qertbawi.
