US Deputy Assistant Secretary Ethan Goldrich arrives in Lebanon: Embassy

US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs with responsibility for the Levant (Syria, Jordan, Lebanon) Ethan Goldrich arrived in Lebanon on Tuesday, according to the United States Embassy in Beirut. 

The embassy added that his arrival "demonstrates the US commitment to the Lebanese people as they struggle against multiple crises." 

“He will hear from a variety of Lebanese and push for the reforms that unlock international support,” a tweet from the embassy added.

Goldrich then met with Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdallah Bou Habib to thank him for his work on the "historic maritime agreement and to encourage Lebanon to bring that same sense of unity to elect a president and implement needed reforms for the benefit of the Lebanese people."
