CBO issues treasury bills worth OMR71mn

Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) raised OMR71 million by way of allotting treasury bills on Tuesday.

The value of the allotted treasury bills amounted to OMR37 million, for a maturity period of 91 days. The average accepted price reached OMR98.660 for every OMR100, and the minimum accepted price arrived at OMR98.660 per OMR100. The average discount rate and the average yield reached 5.37473 per cent and 5.44772 per cent, respectively.

Whereas, the value of the allotted treasury bills amounted to OMR4 million, for a maturity period of 182 days. The average accepted price reached OMR97.470 for every OMR100, and the minimum accepted price arrived at OMR97.470 per OMR100. The average discount rate and the average yield reached 5.07390 per cent and 5.20560 per cent, respectively.

On the other hand, the value of the allotted treasury bills amounted to OMR30 million, for a maturity period of 364 days. The average accepted price reached OMR95.025 for every OMR100, and the minimum accepted price arrived at OMR95.025 per OMR 100. The average discount rate and the average yield reached 4.98867 per cent and 5.24985 per cent, respectively.
