Fly Jinnah launches Muscat-Islamabad service

Muscat: Pakistan’s budget airline, Fly Jinnah, on Friday started its direct flight between the capital of the two countries.Fly Jinnah’s first flight to the Sultanate of Oman arrived in Muscat with 172 passengers onboard and was greeted with the traditional water salute.The airline will operate two flights a week.

The Fly Jinnah CEO said, “We are committed to continuous growth and success to expand opportunities in air travel. I am proud to have started non-stop flights between Islamabad and Muscat, which is Fly Jinnah’s third international route. This expansion underscores Fly Jinnah’s commitment to offering more affordable and quality air travel domestically and internationally.”The airline operates to Sharjah from Islamabad and Lahore.Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in the Sultanate had approved Fly Jinnah, to operate flights from two Pakistani airports.Starting from May 2, the airline got approval to operate three weekly flights between Karachi and Muscat and two weekly flights between Muscat and Islamabad.The Karachi-Muscat service has been not announced yet.Fly Jinnah or FJ is the low-cost carrier (LCC) owned and operated jointly by Lakson Group of Pakistan and Air Arabia Group of the United Arab Emirates.With its fleet of five Airbus A320 aircraft, the airline serves five major cities
