New downtown in Muscat to have buildings with 35 to 40 floors
Muscat: The company of the late Iraqi designer Zaha Hadid will prepare a detailed plan and designs for the Al Khuwair Downtown project, on an area of ??38,000 square meters.The Ministry also signed an initial cooperation agreement with Al Tawoos Company to develop a mixed-use tower in the Al Khuwair Downtown project.According to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, "There will be no high-rise towers in the Al Khuwair Downtown area, but rather a group of buildings with several floors a rather a group of buildings with around 35 to 40 floors."The Ministry has begun the design phase of the Al Khuwair Downtown project, which may take 12 months, and aims to create a waterfront and a distinguished landmark.
