Oman’s finance ministry issues circular on government revenue collection

Muscat: The Ministry of Finance has issued a new circular No. 18/2020 regarding the centralisation of the state's public revenues.In a statement, the Ministry said, "The Ministry of Finance directs the attention of all government ministries and civil, military and security units to the necessity of full and complete commitment to the transfer of revenue collected, to the public treasury in the account of the Ministry of Finance at the Central Bank of Oman. The transfer should take place daily and within five working days maximum."In addition, these transfers must be accompanied by:1- Receipt vouchers and supporting documents no later than two business days from the date of supply.

2- A monthly statement of the collected amounts and their matching with the receipts
