Nyusi woos Qatari investors to Mozambique – The Peninsula

Doha: President of the Republic of Mozambique H E Filipe Jacinto Nyusi has called on Qatari investors to invest in his country which is rife with plenty of investment opportunities in various sectors such as services, tourism, mining, ports development, real estate and infrastructure.

He was speaking during a meeting with officials of Qatar Chamber (QC) yesterday at the Sheraton Hotel in the presence of QC First Vice-Chairman Mohamed bin Towar Al Kuwari and board members Abdulrahman Al Ansari, Dr Mohamed bin Jawhar Al Mohamed and Khalid bin Jabor Al Kuwary.

During the event, Al Kuwari stressed that the Qatari private sector is interested to bolster cooperation relations with its counterpart in Mozambique, indicating that Qatari businessmen are looking forward to learning about Mozambique’s investment climate as well as the opportunities available for investors in the country.

Al Kuwari noted that the two countries’ trade volume stood at QR71m last year, which is below aspirations of the two friendly countries. He went on to assure that enhancing cooperation between Qatari and Mozambican businessmen and forging mutual investments would help promote the trade exchange between both countries.
