QC & China Foreign Trade Center sign deal for bilateral cooperation

The Qatar Chamber and the China Foreign Trade Center (CFTC) have signed an agreement to bolster cooperation, promote events and exchange visits between them.

The agreement was signed by QC First Vice-Chairman Mr. Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al-Kuwari and CFTC’s President Mr. Chu Shijia.

The signing ceremony took place following a meeting between both officials at the Chamber’s headquarters. The meeting touched on means to enhance cooperation relations between both entities and bolster trade between businessmen from both countries.

Mr. Mohamed bin Twar said that China is an important investment destination for Qatari investors, affirming that they are eager to learn about the opportunities galore in China and in Guangzhou in particular. There is a great opportunity for the private sector on both sides to enter into commercial partnerships and benefit from the tremendous potential offered in both counties.

Mr. Bin Twar also stressed the Chamber’s keenness to enhance cooperation between both sides and enable the Qatari private sector to participate in the economic events held in China.

Mr. Shijia said that the visit aims at reviewing trade relations between Chinese and Qatari businessmen and inviting the Qatari private sector to participate in the Canton Fair 2023, The 133rd China Import and Export Fair,
