ADGM launches Digital Marketplace to test feasibility of future products

Abu Dhabi Global Market has introduced an online community where entities such as banks, investors, financial technology companies and regulators are able to test the feasibility of products and services before their launch in the market.

The new initiative, called Digital Marketplace, is part of ADGM's Digital Lab and went live on Monday after a series of pilot projects, the emirate's financial free zone said.

“All regulatory sandboxes are offline versions … [and] we realised that there is something lacking in terms of real-time online testing or monitoring for FinTechs,” Wai Lum, senior executive director of ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority, told The National.
