ADX closes Wednesday up; ADX down

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Wednesday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 1.79% to close Wednesday's session at 3,407.29 points.

A total of 163.25 million shares were traded through 9,877 transactions valued at AED 500.33 million.

Gulf Navigation Holding led the rising stocks with 10.26%, while Emirates Refreshments Company came on top of the losing stocks with 3.26%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index declined by 1.73% to settle at 9,872.35 points by the end of Wednesday's session.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.35 billion after 191.87 million shares had been exchanged through 11,163 transactions.

ADC Acquisition Corporation (ADC) topped the green zone with 14.87%, while Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co (TKFL) headed the red zone with 9.83%.
