DFM ends Thursday in green; ADX closes down

UAE – Mubasher: The UAE stock markets closed Thursday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 0.34% to end at 2,550.29 points, while main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) fell by 0.36% to close at 5,135.21 points.

The DFM's turnover amounted to AED 217.93 million after 159.74 million shares were traded through 2,738 transactions, whereas the ADX's turnover registered AED 425.09 million after 81.08 million shares were exchanged through 2,291 deals.

Emirates Refreshments topped DFM's risers after jumping by 14.74%, while Emirates Driving Co led the decliners and slid by 5%.

Dubai Investments led DFM in terms of turnover and trading value after generating AED 56.43 million through 37.99 million shares.

As for the ADX, Aldar Properties registered the highest trading volume of 26.95 million, whereas First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) posted the largest market turnover with AED 114.15 million.
