DFM ends Thursday up; ADX down

UAE – Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have closed Thursday's trading note on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) inched up by 0.64% to settle at 2,527.53 points by the end of Thursday's trading session.

A total of 154.06 million shares were traded through 2,612 transactions valued at AED 208.63 million.

The market cap value rose by AED 1.19 billion to AED 343.47 billion, compared to AED 342.28 billion during the previous session.

BH Mubasher led the rising stocks with 14.68%, while Orascom Construction PLC (OC) topped the losing stocks with 4.99%.

Union Properties posted the highest trading volume of 50.31 million shares, while Emaar Properties recorded the highest turnover of AED 70.47 million.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index went down 0.32% to end Thursday's session at 5,125.93 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 384.90 million after 91.60 million shares had been traded through 1,789 transactions.

The market cap value declined by AED 3.35 billion to AED 736.80 billion, compared to AED 740.15 billion.
