DFM ends Wednesday up; ADX down

The UAE stock markets have ended Wednesday's trading session on a varied note. The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up 0.47% to settle at 2,916 points by the end of Wednesday's session. A total of 169.99 million shares were traded through 6,739 transactions valued at AED 251.18 million. Aan Digital Services Co (AAN) led the rising stocks with 4.68%, while Al Firdous Holding topped the losing stocks with 4.59%. As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down 0.46% to close Wednesday's session at 7,649.31 points. Turnover amounted to AED 1.41 billion after 225.93 million shares had been exchanged through 7,044 transactions. Al Ain Ahlia Insurance Company came on top of the green stocks with 15%, while Gulf Medical Projects Company headed the red zone with 9.79%.
