Sensex Hits Record High but Slips into the Red as India’s Fear Gauge Rose 1.7% – Investing.com India

Investing.com -- The last half hour of trading saw frenzied selling as markets gave up gains they were holding on to the whole day. closed down 0.1% and the closed down less than 0.1%. India Vix rose 1.7% to close at 12.28.
The Sensex touched a record high of 53,129 before closing at 52,861 while Nifty managed to hold 15,800 levels. Market experts say that the indices are expected to trade sideways with a positive bias.
